Sylvia Pedlar was a renowned American lingerie designer in the mid-20th century.
As a designer, she regularly referenced historic designs, updating them for the fashions of the period. This slip shows the well-documented similarities made between the 1920s and the 1960s, especially in its cut. The animal print of the fabric lends an element of seduction, a definite aspect of lingerie during the sixties.
