Salesman’s Sample Photographic Album

Unknown Maker

Not on view

This album of photographs was a salesman’s sample book which would be used to market metal and glass table lamps and candlesticks. A number have leaded-glass shades or blown, feathered glass shades in the manner of those made by Tiffany Studios of New York. While the lighting firm remains unidentified, the images feature both oil lamps and electrified lighting, which suggests the date of the sample book to the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
