Vase with plant motif
Emile Decoeur French
Edmond Lachenal French
blue In 1903, Lachenal’s assistant Edmond Decoeur left to start his own studio. His designs show a penchant for symmetrical plant forms. His vases have a reduced simplicity. Carefully incised lines create a pattern of leaves here, while the neck seems to sprout from the top like an inverted stem.
