'El diabolito rojo' was a weekly 'penny press' publication issued in Mexico City.

The Met's issues are bound and there are 40 numbers from #94 (10 January 1910) to # 138 (14 November 1910) lacking numbers 96, 104, 119, 129, 134. Different artists contributed illustrations. For example, José Guadalupe Posada provided an illustration for this first issue in this binding.
