Titlepage: Polyglot Bible
Title-page from the first volume of the London Polyglot Bible, edited by Brian Walton. The title-page was designed by John Webb and etched by Wenceslaus Hollar. It is in the form of a triumphal arch, on which are depicted eight biblical scenes, including, at the top, the gift of tongues at Pentecost.
