Theatrical costume for female dancer as fairy, Moscow, 1920. The costume is made up of a knee-length dress with semi-abstract motifs executed in gray, white, and light blue, large, blue butterfly wings with circles colored with white, gray, black, and yellow, a round, purple hat with antennae over her long, brown, curly hair, and gray ruffs around the shoulders and ankles. The dancer is depicted in three-quarter view, standing on pointe, her weight on her right foot and the left foot extended behind her, her arms extended to the sides.
