Holbein's woodcut was first used as title page border in Micaele Ricci's 'De regibus Francorum libri III [...]', Basel, published by Johann Froben, July 1517; subsequently used in various other books, including Desiderius Erasmus, 'Aliquot Epistolae [...]', Basel, published by Johann Froben, January 1518.
