3rd–4th century
Not on view
The composition of the purple panel recalls patterns used on contemporary floor mosaics, pointing to the many links between architectural decoration and the textile arts. The main design, executed with delicate white threads on a purple ground, consists of a meander pattern framing four squares filled with interlace.
