Bowls with Repeating Inscription, "Blessing"

In contrast to the many examples that feature black writing on a white ground, this calligraphic bowl is one of a smaller group made with white slip decoration on a black slip ground. In this case, the flourishes at the tops of the letters make them almost look like the birds found on numerous Nishapur ceramics.
