Fragment of a Waster

Not on view

This fragment of an open vessel has previously been described as a waster. While the overfired glaze suggests a kiln accident, what remains of the vessel does not appear so compromised as to make it completely unusable. However, its finding spot at a kiln site in Nishapur suggests that it never made it to the market.
