The double folio is from a Qur'an manuscript with three lines in black ink on each page and diagonally arranged interlinear translations in Persian. Kufic calligraphy in red and blue against a background of vegetal scrolls in gold surrounds the text, creating a border, and geometric floral motifs in red, green, blue and gold ornament the corners.
