Pendant

Not on view

This small jewel may have been an element in a complex assortment of jewels worn by Amazigh (Berber) women in Tunisia. It was likely worn on the side of the head, attached to a headscarf. Ornaments favored by Amazigh tend to have pendant components, like those seen here, that would have swayed and made noise as the wearer moved.
