Signature: Li Gonglin

Inscription: According to the first inscription, this painting is meant to be a sort of illustration to Dufu's poem on the cypress. The second inscription consists of a copy of the poem by Liu Yong, a minister at the court of Qianlong, noted for his rather lumpish calligraphy.

Marking: Nine seals on the painting and inscriptions; includes that of the famous collector, Duan Fang.
