Relief of Haremhab

New Kingdom, Amarna Period

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 122

Originally dedicated by a private individual as a votive offering, this stela probably depicted Haremhab presenting papyrus umbels to one or more deities. The accompanying inscription reads "May the protection of [all] life [be behind him forever]."
