Qur'an
Not on view
Produced in Kashmir, this Qur'an once served as part of a bride's dowry. The manuscript contains three double page illuminations in a style typical of 19th-century Kashmir, including blue and gold scrolls and flowers, and purple and pink flowers on the inside edges. Gold and red text markers punctuate the fine naskh script, separating verses and indication points for sajadat (prostration).
