Plate 3 of a series of eight plates of designs used by gold- and silversmiths. In frames of grotesques are scenes of children practicing the silver- and goldsmith's craft. This design is caracterized by two children working over a a tub of embers and a third, on the left side, flapping a wing like a fan.
