Platter
This pink and white transfer-printed earthenware platter made by the Staffordshire firm of William Adams & Sons features a view of the United States arsenal built in 1796 in the historic town of Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. The town is situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Robert Harper, who ran a ferry across the Potomac, settled the town in 1747.
