Plate 37, Part of the Baths of Caracalla, with a silhoutted figure seated among architectural fragments in the foreground. Below this plate is an unnumbered image titled "Restes des Thermes d'Antonin Caracalla." This is one of only a few examples in the volume where the two half-page images on a single sheet both show a view of a Roman building (the majority of unnumbered bottom images depict ancient sculpture and bas-reliefs). These two images appear facing page 67, the second page of text describing the Baths of Caracalla. The preceding plate 36 (Plan of the Baths of Caracalla) also relates to this thermae.
