Plate 58, Relief with Hadrian donating food to the Roman children. The relief – originally from the Arch of Portugal and identified in the inscription as depicting Marcus Aurelius reading petitions from the rostra – has been in the Capitoline Museum since 1664, where it is displayed in the staircase of the Palazzo dei Conservatori Museum (inv. MC0832). Plate 59 is also after a relief (Apotheosis of Sabina) from the Arch of Portugal. These images appear at the end of the volume, in a section of nineteen plates (and four half-page unnumbered images) with ancient Roman statues and bas-reliefs. Unlike the plates in the rest of the volume, these are not accompanied by descriptive text.
