One of two versions of the subject. Zani attributed this version to Parmigianino's follower, Jacopo Bertoia. Following Oberhuber most scholars now accept that Parmigianino made two versions of this deisgn (B.XVI.8.5 and B.XVIII.300.46), one of which (B.XVIII.300.46) was formerly attributed to Reni
