25th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a woman wearing a Chinese costume made up of a Kimono-like, blue robe with scattered semi-abstract motifs made with irregular, pale blue lines and golden dots, a golden sunburst, and semi-abstract dragon motifs, with yellow borders and linings in the upper half, and a yellow belted fabric, and with a border made up of green, yellow, blue and red diagonal stripes and scrolling motifs at the bottom of the skirt. She wears long, yellow gloves, and holds a large, red and black fan with abstract golden motifs above her shoulder. Her hair is tied in a bun with a thin, pale blue ribbon. She wears yellow stockings and cream and red pointed flat shoes.
