Tigridia & Chevre-feuille (à Fruits blancs) d’après natur
Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains a lithographed reproduction of a botanical painting with a bundle of naturalistic tiger flowers and honeysuckle with white fruits by Jules Sette, executed with shades of gray. Some of the flowers are fully on bloom, and others are closed flower buds. The stems on which the flowers stand also contain elongated, scrolling leaves. The stems with the honeysuckle fruits are shorter and contain smaller, oval-shaped leaves.
