Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains a title page for the sixteenth issue of the "Guide du Dessinateur de l'Industrie", with different designs for embroidered tulle. On the upper part of the sheet is an ornamental frame made up of C-curves and scrolling acanthus leaves, flanked above by a crown with three-leaf clovers, which is in turn flanked by undulating branches with rosettes, stylized flowers, and scrolling leaves, with thin garlands with flowers and leaves hanging from them. This frame contains the name of H. Mereau, designer of French laces. On the lower part of the sheet is a rectangular table with an embroidered tulle cloth, decorated with scrolling leaves, palmettes and rosettes, and branches with leaves. On the table is an ornamental frame made up of scrolling leaves, and flanked above by a fragment of a cone, decorated with thin interlacing branches with small flowers and leaves, flanked above by two C-curves and a vertical cane with two spheres. This frame contains the name of Fleury Chavant, editor of the publication. The designs are executed with black ink on thin, light brown paper.
