Wang Naizhuang was born in Hangzhou in 1929, and he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1953. He specialized in Buddhist and floral subjects. This painting of white lilies is typical of his flower style, which uses Chinese pigments and tools to achieve an effect similar to impressionist oil painting.
