A countryside scene with a carriage entering through a gate at left. A hefty man seated beneath a tree at right, watching the birds in front of him as a woman feeds them. At left, a sign reads, "4 miles and 3 quaters [sic] from Shoreditch." Beneath the tree at right, a sign reads, "Two pounds reward whereas some malicious and unknown persons have distroyed my fences and stole my poultry."
