This lithograph depicts the Hindu goddess of chastity and fertility. Understood as an incarnation of Shakti, she is the patroness of the hijra (transgender) community. She holds a sword, a text of scriptures, a trident, and a lotus flower. She is seated on a rooster, which symbolizes innocence, and is attended by worshippers.
