Sri Lakshmi Puja

Not on view

Lakshmi, flanked by the goddess Saraswati on her right and the elephant-god Ganesha on her left, here presides as the goddess of wealth, prosperity, auspiciousness, and good fortune. The Hindi title, “Sri Luxmi Pooja,” indicates that the image was intended for worship—framed and hung inside the house to bring Lakshmi’s blessings into the home.
