Issued in a kōzo paper folded enclosure, this selection of thirty-six specimens was presented by distributor Hiromi Paper International, and includes samples of cedar bark, straw, hemp, synthetic, composite, and traditional washi from Fuji Paper Mills Cooperative in Tokushima, Japan. Washi (和紙, literally "japanese paper") refers to paper manufactured using traditional vat methods, specifically that which is made from mitsumata, gampi, or kozo fibers with or without a neri additive. Washi is manufactured in two methods, tame-zuki and nagashi-zuki, similar to that of traditional Western linen rag paper.
