Fly illustrates some of the central themes that have dominated Beerman’s art--namely images of humans and animals rendered in an emotional and expressive manner--over the course of her career, as well as her powerful use of lithography. Depicted is a close-up view of a fly, rendered in an expressionist manner. Bold marks and scratched areas add to the sensation of movement and activity.
