HARMONY 1. The arrangement of parts in pleasing relation to each other:

Norman Norell’s fashions were defined by an inherent balance that gave them a timeless appeal. Luxurious materials were worked into pared-down silhouettes and coupled with more discreet fabrics, and couture-quality workmanship was combined with the comfort and easy styling of sportswear. In this carefully composed evening suit, Norell paired the flash of a gold-sequined blouse with the subtlety of a camel-colored wool skirt. The matching wool jacket with its sequin-embroidered lining suggests a continuous relationship between these components, making the combination seem faultless and intuitive.
