Lisa E. Farrington

Lisa E. Farrington was recently awarded the Distinguished Professor by the City University of New York (CUNY) and is founding Chair Emeritus of the Art & Music Department at CUNY’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is the author of two books, Creating Their Own Image: The History of African-American Women Artists (2005) and African American Art: A Visual and Cultural History (2016), both published with Oxford University Press.
