This wine glass bears the names of the bridal couple, the date of their 1762 union, and their family coats of arms. The goblet was decorated to celebrate the nuptials of Paulus Gevers (1741–1797) and Jacoba Maria Cornets de Groot (1741–1815), both members of successful patrician families in Rotterdam.
