Redell, a photographer and sales manager at Underwood and Underwood Studios, harnessed the power of sex appeal in this photomontage of an attractive young woman enjoying a cigarette while bathing in a glass of champagne—a pictorial fantasy of luxury and indulgence that was probably created as a tobacco advertisement.
