Nouveaux Lambris, cheminées et portes de chambre, Plate 3
Plate 3 of a series of designs for mantelpieces, paneling and doors. This plate shows a mantelpiece, wall paneling and mirrors. There is a mirror topped by a mascaron over the fireplace. There also are mirrors on the sides with cartouches at the top. Between the mirrors and the mantelpiece is blank paneling with shell decorations. At the top of the wall is a cornice supported by consoles on a diapered frieze.
