Seven columns of newspaper text as published by the New York Sun (in an extra edition, called "The Extra Sun") describing the circumstances of the Lexington marine disaster, the names of the victims, and inquest testimony from the survivors. See 63.350.345 (1) for the lithograph depicting the massive fire burning The Lexington steamship, as victims in the water hold on to floating cotton bales and pieces of ship debris; a map of Long Island Sound appeared in the bottom margin of the print.
