Nouveaux Bonnets Galants fait pour servir de Demie Parure
Third plate of a set of 12 plates of men's and women's coiffures, containing four designs for women's bonnets. The hairstyles are presented inside four simple, rectangular frames, each containing an illustration of the upper body of a woman, wearing a fashionable dress of the 1770s, decorated with ruffles, ribbons and bows of different colors, which match the fancy hairstyle that adorns her head. The bonnets presented in this plate are all made up of light green fabric with different patterns (stripes, grids of lozenges, or dots), with white ruffles on the border, and decorated with ribbons and flowers. Two of them form a heart shape above the woman's head, one simply bordered by red and green ribbons and a bundle of yellow flowers, and the other, more ornate, with a yellow ribbon running around it, decorated with jeweled brooches, with several layers of ruffles, and a wreath of pink and yellow flowers and green leaves on the right side. The other two are also decorated with flowers and ribbons, as well as jeweled brooches and strips of pearls, in shades of green, red, and orange.
