Featured, is an amusing example of the paper garment craze that had a brief moment in fashion history from 1965-1969. Most paper garments were A-line dresses for daywear, however there were some evening dresses. This is a more unusual example, as it is sleepwear. Purchased from a store on Regent Street in London, the fashion Mecca during this time, this was a very sought after trend. The nightgown, complete with its packaging is an excellent documentation of the throw-away aesthetic that began in the 1960s.
