Mug
Not on view
This mug is engraved with the coat of arms of the Serédi family and an inscription that states Sofia Serédi commissioned the piece in 1704. She was married to István Andrássy (1650–1725), a general under Francis II Rákóczi (1676–1735), who fought in an uprising against the Habsburg emperor from 1703 to 1711. Several pieces from the Salgo Collection were once part of the Andrássy treasury.
