The edges of the bottom are beveled. On the top are two long
shallow, polished depressions as if to hold a couple of cylindrical objects. Probably used by
a painter to mix his colors. Inscription formerly in several lines, running the length of the
flat bottom, but at present all that remains is the end of one line.
