Gold, silver, garnet, and pearl pin

Shaft of pin is of silver. Upper finial is an Ionic capital made of gold over a bronze core. Above capital, a hollow gold sphere in shape of a pomegranate is supported by 4 struts that originally held perforated pearls. Only one pearl is preserved. Top of pomegranate is decorated with a garnet held in a serrated circular frame.
