Bronze pendant in the form of a paired couple

Villanovan

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 170

The solid-cast bronze figures may represent either a human couple or a divine pair, perhaps Tinia and Uni, the later Etruscan versions of the Greek gods Zeus and Hera, who are often depicted as lovers.
