Inscription: At bottom center, monogramed "AD" in pen and brown ink, in the manner of Albrecht Dürer. On the mount: at lower left center, inscribed "Albert Durer. 1470-1528" in pen and brown ink; at lower left center, inscribed "from vol 1st No 4" in pen and brown ink. Verso: at upper center, inscribed "Q 52" in pen and brown ink (possibly Richardson mark, see Lugt 2983-2984)
Marking: At lower left, a collector's paraphe (?) "12 R X" in brown ink (in ligature, extremely close to Lugt 2171)
