Childish Affections
Not on view
A young Roman woman has bathed a baby (a bowl and sponge placed on a ledge), and now offers it a doll. They sit at the edge of a garden filled with poppies, with a fountain adorned with a statue of Silenus and the baby Dionysus. The print is based on a painting of 1882, (Opus CCXXXV).
