Cœnotaphiorum (27)

Architectural wall tomb consisting of two vertical tiers. The lower tier is characterized by a deep niche in the middle in which a tomb is placed. The upper tier shows the effigies of a kneeling man and woman on either side of a small altar. Behind them their patron saints have been placed, Hieronymus on the left and a female saint on the right. Combined with the Dutch inscription referring to Cock and his wife, this may perhaps be an indication that it is in fact their prospective funerary monument. Behind them is a painting of the second coming of Christ. Below the image a Latin inscription is added consisting of eight lines, divided over two columns.
