A building that stood on 34th Street and 11th Avenue popularly called the White Cottage. Built at the end of the 18th century, it had a fine view of the Hudson River (then called the North River) but was in an advanced state of decay by the 1860s. Part of series of etchings published as a book Old New York from the Battery to Bloomingdale, 1875, by Eliza Greatorex and M. Dupard, p. 73.
