Producing goods of artistic quality and fine materials in mass quantity has been the goal of modern design since the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the twentieth century. This drawing by a member of the Bauhaus Weaving Workshop is an example of design stripped down to elemental basics in order to achieve this goal. Willers experimented with color theory to add interest to the strict geometric patterning.
