China Shop
George Nelson emphasized functionality in his designs, particularly in his storage walls from the 1940s. He did, however, introduce a degree of playfulness into his work, as seen in his 1956 Marshmallow sofa and in this textile, where stylized pitchers, vases, bowls, and cups create a dense abstract pattern.
