Reclining
Designer Dana Zámecniková Czech
Not on view
Like many contemporary artists working in glass in the Czech Republic, Dana Zámecniková uses glass in ways that would have befuddled Bohemian masters of past centuries. In Reclining, sheets of glass are shaped into semitransparent limbs loosely cloaked by a gown fashioned from sheet lead. Zámecniková's training in architecture and scenography informs her work, which necessarily relates to the surrounding built environment.
