"Transat" Sauceboat
Manufacturer Christofle
Designer Luc Lanel French

The reductive, geometric simplicity of Luc Lanel's silver-plated "Transat" service is recalled by its name, an abbreviation of the French "transatlantique" and a nickname for the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, which owned the ocean liner Normandie. Created for the first-class dining room of the Normandie, the "Transat" tableware is at once elegant and sturdy.
