Shabti Box

New Kingdom, Ramesside

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 122

This shabti box appears to have been made for the burial of a woman, judging from the image on the front. The lid, which is inscribed for a Singer of Thoth named Miya, is from another box.
